This week we have been celebrating 20 years since the publication of the first Harry Potter novel, by transforming school into Hogwarts, the school of witchcraft and wizardry. On Monday, the children arrived at Kings Cross and boarded the Hogwarts Express, ready for their week long journey into a world of magic. As the week progressed, the children visited Diagon Alley and tested wands, helped Professor Snape in his potions class, tried flying on broomsticks, followed by a refreshing drink of Butterbeer, and finally visited magical creatures in our Hogwarts Menagerie. The children have also enjoyed measuring, baking, potion making and lots and lots of creating writing in class around our Harry Potter theme. The work they have produced has been outstanding!
