Recent research by the Department of Education has indicated that cyberbullying is on the rise, whilst physical bullying is falling. Cyberbullying (which takes place through mobile phones and social network sites) can be hard to deal with, as it is difficult to get away from.
In school we teach children how to behave on line and how to deal with cyberbullying, should they become a victim and of course, we always take seriously any incident of bullying that is reported to us.
The UK Safer Internet Centre has recently produced some top tips for dealing with cyberbullying for young people, which parents will also find useful.
